Simple Traffic Calculation
With this application, we can perform a simple traffic calculation for our pavement design. Just enter the following values:
- * Design Life: The expected service life of various construction and preservation/rehabilitation treatments largely depends on whether pavement sections will be new construction, reconstruction, or an overlay of existing pavement. Typical performance periods for new concrete pavements are 20 to 40 years.
- * Trucks per Day: Indicates the average daily number of trucks that will use the pavement, in both directions and during the construction period.
- * Annual Growth Rate: Indicates the expected annual growth rate for truck traffic.
- * Directional Distribution: Enter the directional distribution of traffic. For example, if you expect an equal distribution of traffic in both directions, enter 50%.
- * Lane Distribution: Indicates the distribution of traffic when there are two or more lanes available in one direction. When there is only one lane, this value should be 100%.
